COLUMBIA -- The Kershaw County coroner said a 58-year-old man who ate at a Camden restaurant last week has died of complications from food poisoning.
Coroner Johnny Fellers said Wednesday that James Arledge, of Lugoff, died Sunday from complications related to salmonella.
Arledge is one of more than 150 people to report being sick after eating at the Old South Restaurant in Camden. He ate at the restaurant Thursday.
Health officials have issued a statewide public health advisory for anyone who ate at the buffet from last Thursday through Sunday.
Possible salmonella cases have been reported in areas as far as Rock Hill and Charleston.
