Daniele International Salame Salmonella Outbreak Lawsuit

In 2010, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that at least 272 people in 44 states had fallen ill with Salmonella Montevideo infections during a nationwide Salmonella outbreak between July 2009 and March 2010. On January 23, 2010, Daniele announced that it was recalling approximately 1,240,000 pounds of ready-to-eat varieties of Italian sausage products, including its peppered salame, for potential Salmonella contamination. Daniele purchased black pepper from two different distributors, Mincing Overseas Spice and Wholesome Spice, who buy imported black pepper. Samples of pepper from both distributors have tested positive for Salmonella.

The Salmonella lawyers at Seattle-based Marler Clark represented multiple people who became ill with Salmonella infections after eating the contaminated salame in claims against Daniele International.
