The Memphis and Shelby County Health Departments investigated a Salmonella outbreak among customers of the A & R Bar-be-que restaurant located at 3721 Hickory Hill in Memphis in July of 2009. The restaurant closed on July 25, 2009, after at least 20 people reported symptoms of Salmonella infection after eating food prepared at the restaurant on July 9, 10 and 11, 2009. Customers who ate their food at the restaurant and at a family reunion catered by A & R Bar-be-que reported illness.
Marler Clark filed a Salmonella lawsuit against A & R Bar-be-que of Memphis, Tennessee, on July 30, 2009. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of a father and son who both became ill with Salmonella infections and were hospitalized with acute kidney failure after eating Salmonella-contaminated food purchased from the restaurant in mid-July.
Marler Clark's Salmonella attorneys resolved the lawsuit and other victims of the Salmonella outbreak.
