Western Food Safety Summit Conference - May 2023

Fresh produce industry, operations and processing professionals attended this conference in Salinas, California to learn more about best practices in food safety. Bill Marler, a foodborne illness attorney, was invited to present on a panel which examined the essential lessons in twenty years following fresh produce foodborne illness outbreaks. The panel discussed the changes that have been implemented, the challenges that remain and how to create a food safety culture to help prevent future outbreaks.
