Bill Marler addressed the important public health issues related to foodborne illness during his conference presentation. His specialty in the area of foodborne illness law helped to give this group an understanding of the real life impacts of an outbreak on individuals who become ill. With a food specialty practice in the United States, Bill is often asked to consult on outbreaks in Europe, Canada, and Africa. In our global economy, where food is imported to places around the world, this topic is relevant no matter where you live.
