William Marler traveled to Sun Valley, Idaho, to address the Intermountain IFT Symposium, a food safety conference for food industry professionals. The attendees were from various professional food safety careers, including: quality assurance, product development, operations, ingredient suppliers, service providers (laboratories, sanitation chemicals) and small businesses.
During the conference, Mr. Marler spoke about the regulatory and legal landscape, offering his perspective as a foodborne illness attorney representing those sickened as a result of foodborne outbreaks. He offered a better understanding of what food manufacturers should be aware of and lessons learned from recent foodborne illness outbreaks. This was a well attended symposium, with 150 people in attendance of Mr. Marler's speech.
