The attorneys at Marler Clark were invited to present to a group of 400 participants. This group included the Vice President and Director of Regulatory Affairs, the Vice President of Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs, Senior in House Counsel and the Director of Food Safety and Quality Assurance.
Several important topics were discussed during this presentation at the Food Regulatory and Quality Assurance Summit. Marler Clark outlined how food companies can avoid litigation through better food safety practices. In addition, they offered guidance on how to improve monitoring and safe food practices to help protect consumers. An argument was made for the value of protecting consumers and therefore protecting your organization from costly litigation as a result of a recall or outbreak. Lastly, Marler Clark, gave examples of organizations that have adopted best in class food safety practices and been successful in their implementation.
