Center for Produce Safety - June 2023

The annual conference for Center for Produce Safety was held in Buckhead, Georgia. The organizers extended an invitation to Bill Marler to discuss his experience as a foodborne illness litigator representing victims of outbreaks. During the presentation, Bill outlined cases he has had that were related to leafy greens and studies done by the government which identified areas of concern in this industry. A lively discussion followed with many insights from industry professionals and hope for a better future with strong food safety culture in companies growing, distributing and selling produce.
