Bill Marler, the nation's leading food poisoning attorney shared his thoughts on the state of the food industry in terms of foodborne illness prevention at the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) Foodborne Illness Litigation Conference in Chicago. In his presentation Mr. Marler encouraged food manufacturers to become move actively involved in reducing foodborne illness. He reviewed the history of foodborne illness regulation in the United States as well as the events that lead to the passage of the Food Safety Modernization Act in late 2010.
