Association of Food and Drug Officials - June 2023

The Association of Food and Drug Officials holds an annual forum to address food safety in Norfolk, VA. Over 400 state, local, federal and tribal government regulators and industry participated, as well as individuals from academia and consumer advocate partners. The organizers invited Bill Marler to come to speak about the E. coli Jack in the Box outbreak in the 1990's. The participants were interested in learning what progress has been made since this time and what more needs to be done to help prevent an outbreak of this magnitude from ever happening again.
