The Marler Clark law firm filed a class action lawsuit against the Olive Garden on behalf of over 3,000 people who received Immune globulin injections or hepatitis A vaccinations after eating at the Fayetteville, North Carolina Olive Garden location on several dates in late July and early August, 2011. Olive Garden patrons who were eligible to join the class action lawsuit received the Ig or hepatitis A shots to prevent infection after a food worker tested positive for hepatitis A. November 27, 2012 was the deadline for claims, exclusion requests, and objections to the proposed Settlement.
Hepatitis A is typically transmitted from person to person, but can also be passed through contaminated food or water.
