At least 305 patrons of the Casper, Wyoming Golden Corral restaurant fell ill with norovirus infections after eating at the restaurant between November 17, 2012 and December 19, 2012. The Wyoming Department of Health and Casper-Natrona County Health Department investigated the norovirus outbreak and determined that 31 employees who worked at the Golden Corral were infected with norovirus while working and likely contributed to the spread of norovirus among restaurant patrons.
Marler Clark and The Ochs Law Firm of Casper filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of victims of the Golden Corral norovirus outbreak on February 8, 2013. The two firms continue to accept clients related to the norovirus outbreak.
