Marler Clark and Sabra & Aspden donated 1/3 of their attorneys' fees, or $15,000, to Joseph Case High School in March. Managing partner of Marler Clark, Bill Marler, said, "It's fun to challenge people's preconceived notions of lawyers by doing something like this," he said. "It's a positive thing for the school, and a positive thing for our profession."
Two additional victims of the outbreak, who actually became ill with hepatitis A at the time of the outbreak, recently decided to pursue their related claims for compensation. Marler Clark is preparing to present their demands, and to explore the possibility of settlement before filing lawsuits.
