Papa Johns Hepatitis A Outbreak and Class Action Lawsuit

A Settlement has been reached in this lawsuit concerning alleged exposure to the Hepatitis A virus at the Papa John’s restaurant located at 8016-B Cambridge Commons Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina from March 28, 2014 through April 7, 2014.

What is this case about? The plaintiff, Crystal Cagler, acting on behalf of herself and all those similarly situated, has sued defendant Papa John’s USA, Inc. to recover damages for physical injury and economic loss allegedly arising from obtaining immune globulin immunization shots and Hepatitis-A vaccinations in response to an alert that she and others may have been exposed to the Hepatitis A virus while consuming food and drink from the Papa John’s located at 8016-B Cambridge Commons Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina from March 28, 2014 through April 7, 2014. 3,000 patrons received vaccines.
