Several retail outlets recalled Glass Onion Catering's salads and wraps after the announcement. Trader Joe's, Walgreens and Whole Foods all had received the potentially contaminated products.
Marler Clark's E. coli attorneys filed the first lawsuit against Artherstone Foods, Glass Onion Catering's parent company, on November 14, 2013. The lawsuit was filed in Sonoma County Superior Court in California on behalf of a woman who fell ill with an E. coli infection in October, 2013. The law firm filed a second lawsuit against Artherstone Foods on November 25, 2013. The lawsuit was filed in San Francisco County Superior Court on behalf of a San Francisco woman who also was ill with an E. coli infection in October of 2013.
In April of 2014, Marler Clark amended all previously filed complaints to include Trader Joe's as a defendant. In addition, the law firm filed 3 new lawsuits on behalf of California and Washington state residents.
